David Politis is the founder and CEO of BetterCloud, where he oversees the day-to-day activities of the company and is responsible for the overall product vision and business strategy.
Before founding BetterCloud, David was an early employee of Cloud Sherpas (acquired by Accenture), a preeminent leader in cloud advisory and technology services. As the VP of SMB Solutions, David led Cloud Sherpas to become the leading cloud services partner to small and medium-sized businesses worldwide.
Bart Hacking, Chief Financial Officer
Bart Hacking is the Chief Financial Officer at BetterCloud, where he is responsible for strategic and capital planning, fundraising, finance & accounting, HR, legal, and business operations. Bart has more than 15 years leadership experience at leading technology companies. Bart joined BetterCloud as Chief Financial Officer in 2013, helping grow the company from pre-revenue to today.
Prior to joining BetterCloud, Bart was VP Finance at Clickable, an advertising technology platform, where he led global finance, accounting, and legal leading up to the company’s acquisition by Syncapse Corp in 2012. Before that, Bart led finance, accounting, and legal operations at Monitor110, a big-data financial technology startup. Bart holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.A. in history and political science from the University of Pennsylvania.
Chris Jones, Chief Revenue Officer and Head of Global Field Operations
Chris Jones serves as the Chief Revenue Officer and Head of Global Field Operations, where he is responsible for the go to market strategy and execution across new customer acquisition, implementation, customer value realization, customer success and retention, account management, partnerships, and revenue operations and enablement.
Chris is a seasoned, high-growth global enterprise SaaS technology executive experienced in building and leading top-performing business units that focus on revenue, market growth, valuation, and customer success. He joined BetterCloud from BeyondTrust, a leading privileged access management company, where he served as CRO and played a key role in the successful integration of three acquisitions. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of global sales at PROS, the leading AI SaaS company whose solutions optimize selling in the digital economy, and played a key role in tripling revenues during his tenure.
Previously, Chris was General Manager at Microsoft in the Enterprise & Partner Group, and Area Vice President of Sales at EMC. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and sociology from the University of Richmond, VA.
Jim Brennan, Chief Product Officer
Jim Brennan serves as the Chief Product Officer for BetterCloud, where he is responsible for product strategy and delivery. Jim brings more than 21 years of experience in the development, management, and marketing of technology solutions. Jim joined BetterCloud from IBM, where he served as VP of Product Management for the company’s Security Operations & Response portfolio.
Prior to IBM, he led the product management team responsible for infrastructure security services at Dell SecureWorks. Other notable roles include positions with Internet Security Systems, Red Hat, EMS Technologies, and the US Department of Defense. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Jamie Tischart, Chief Technology Officer
Jamie Tischart serves as the Chief Technology Officer, where he is responsible for the broader technology strategy of the business as well as the day-to-day leadership of development, quality and architecture teams for the BetterCloud product suite. Jamie brings nearly three decades of experience leading technology and product teams through periods of rapid growth and product transformation. Most recently, he served as GM and VP, Software Engineering of the Marketing & Growth BU at Twilio where he was responsible for defining the product and technical strategy while focusing on the customer experience and driving highly reliable solutions for Twilio’s customers.
Previously, Tischart was VP, Technical Operations at SendGrid where he led the company’s Global Data Center and DevOps strategies across the business. Prior to that, he served as CTO of the Security-as-a-Service business at McAfee where he led the creation of Intel Security’s future generation Cloud solutions. He has also held leadership roles at a number of other prominent technology companies including Intel. Jamie holds an MBA from Aspen University and B.A from St. Lawrence College.
Tommy Donnelly, Chief Information Officer
Tommy Donnelly serves as the Chief Information Officer, where he is responsible for the company’s Information Technology, Enterprise Applications, Customer Support, Security and Compliance functions. Tommy brings two decades of experience in IT, security, infrastructure, privacy, compliance and technical strategy across SaaS environments. He joins BetterCloud from Bullhorn, a global leader in software for the staffing industry, where he served as the SVP of Global Security and Information Productivity with global ownership over Security, Compliance, Privacy, Information Technology, Enterprise Applications, Data Science and Technical Project Management functions. Previously, he served as the CIO at Peoplenet, where he played a critical role in building the company’s technology and security programs from the ground up including all aspects of managing the Peoplenet.com SaaS application. Tommy holds an MBA and B.B.A from Georgia State University.
Manuel Martinez-Herrera, General Counsel
Manuel Martinez-Herrera serves as BetterCloud’s General Counsel, where he is responsible for the corporate, technology, regulatory, privacy, and employment legal needs of the company. Manuel has been practicing law for more than 15 years including stints in Barcelona, Madrid, Buenos Aires, and New York. Before BetterCloud, Manuel was the VP of Legal at Namely—an HR, payroll, and benefits platform—where he headed legal and compliance.
Manuel spent most of his formative years as an associate at White & Case, a leading global law firm, where his practice focused on counseling multinational employers on cross-border human resources and data privacy issues. Manuel holds an LLM from Harvard Law School and a Licenciatura en Derecho (J.D. equivalent) from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid, Spain.
Taralee Brady, Chief Of Staff, Engineering
Taralee has spent the better part of two decades leading at the intersection of people, projects, and practices. She earned her Bachelors in Organizational Communications from California State University Fullerton and her MS in Leadership and Organizational Development from UT Dallas. She has spent time in a number of high-growth organizations in industries including hospitality, financial services, business continuity, and SaaS. Her roles have included recruiting, leadership development, project management, and most recently head of people and culture.
At BetterCloud, Taralee acts as a force multiplier for the CTO, ensuring practices are in place that enable high performance and execution.

Chocolate Rain (CR) is BetterCloud’s first Employee Resource Group (ERG) open to all BetterCloud employees who identify as Black or of African descent. What started as a community Slack channel has evolved into an Executive supported Employee Resource Group. The CR ERG is focused on creating a welcoming environment to help Black employees in BetterCloud feel supported, mentor & cultivate Black employees for development opportunities & leadership positions, as well as, attract & empower Black lives in BetterCloud and in the technology field as a whole.
Rainbow Mafia
BetterCloud’s Rainbow Mafia is an internal community and home for all individuals who identify under the LGBTQA+ umbrella. We offer a safe, inclusive space for employees to bring their full selves to the table and engage in a variety of activities from fundraising, internal events, and more. BetterCloud’s mission is to bring greater visibility of the Queer Community to all who engage with us, and interact with their fellow BetterClouders in the spirit of allyship and education.
CurryCloud
BetterCloud is excited to formally announce the 3rd ERG at BetterCloud: CurryCloud! They aim to represent the South Asian community at BetterCloud and their main goal is to bring transparency and structure to the immigration policies, create a welcoming environment for new employees of South Asian descent, provide mentorship within CurryCloud and share cultural awareness around some of their oldest and most celebrated traditions. BetterCloud work, specifically around immigration, will not be limited to CurryCloud members and instead serve as comprehensive resources for all BetterClouders.

Juice
Juice is the Jewish community at BetterCloud for anyone who is Jewish by way of religion or culture.
