As CEO of Code42, Payne has been instrumental in enhancing the management team, while also navigating the challenges of growth. Under his leadership Code42 raised $85 million in equity in 2015, in the biggest round of venture capital investment in a Minnesota company since 1999. More recently, Code42 was named one of the Top 175 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune in June 2021. Among the top 60 midsize companies, Code42 was ranked #10 on the list.
