Charlie Thomas, CEO
Charlie is the CEO of Deepwatch and is responsible for overall corporate strategy and execution. He has led and grown four different startups to market values from $25 million to over $1 billion with four exits and an IPO. Charlie has been responsible for growth, expanding markets globally, and quickly adapting to industry dynamics at technology and software companies. He has led in all facets of growth including capitalization, branding, product, sales, channels, marketing, team recruitment, and corporate strategy. Charlie has served as a Board Member or Investor at fourteen (14) cybersecurity, software and technology companies.
He holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and attended Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
Bobby Christian, COO
Bobby is the COO of Deepwatch and is responsible for the company operations and technology platform. Bobby has more than 27 years of technology and industry experience and 20 years of cybersecurity expertise. He has been a business leader and executive at some of the most exciting and fastest growing companies in the United States. He has held leadership roles and board positions across a range of technology companies. He was the Co-Founder and CEO of True North Solutions, a cybersecurity solutions provider. He served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), and he served on the Board of Directors at GuidePoint Security.
Ron Peele, CFO
Ron is the Chief Financial Officer at Deepwatch. Ron leads the Deepwatch finance organization and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s capital and financial reporting efforts.
Ron has over 30 years experience as an investor and operating executive with a demonstrated history of working with start-ups and growth stage companies. Previous stints included AOL, Time Warner and Revolution where he developed strong financial, strategic and operational skills and IPO experience with SaaS and managed services businesses.
Ron is a graduate of the McIntire School of the University of Virginia.
Jen Swensson, Chief People Officer
Jen Swensson is the Chief People Officer at Deepwatch. Her background spans 20+ years leading high growth technology companies in their talent strategies. Jen and her team develop Deepwatch’s programs of talent acquisition, learning & development, HR technologies, total rewards, and fostering the Deepwatch culture of transparency, fun, and employee-centric growth.
Before joining Deepwatch, Jen was the VP of Global Human Resources for KLDiscovery, a leading provider of software and technology-enabled e-discovery services solving complex data challenges with over 2,500 employees in 20 countries. Jen has also led training and employee relations efforts for RCN’s business services division, ultimately overseeing the HR diligence and integration efforts of RCN’s sale to private equity partners. She then led the human resources team for Sidera Networks, one of the three resulting private companies that divested from the RCN sale.
Jen holds a bachelor of arts degree and Human Resources Management certification from George Mason University and is a Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) awarded by the National Human Resources Certification Institute, and Senior Certified Professional (SCP) issued by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Most recently she earned her Mental Health First Aid certification and has a passion for instilling cultures of wellness and mental health awareness.
When not energetically leading her teams at work, she volunteers for Girls on the Run, helping to foster a community of girls empowered to be their best by teaching them the skills they need to be strong, confident, and healthy women.
Wesley Mullins, Chief Technology Officer
Wesley is the chief technology officer (CTO) at Deepwatch. Wesley is responsible for Deepwatch’s product and solutions vision and roadmap and also leads the organization that develops the Deepwatch platform used to deliver the company’s managed detection and response service. Previously Wesley was the CIO and CISO of Deepwatch, leading teams responsible for Security, Risk & Compliance across Deepwatch, as well as back office systems and all customer facing platforms. Wesley’s IT career spans nearly 20 years, starting out as a developer, moving into networking, and then to cybersecurity. Before joining Deepwatch, Wesley was the VP of Global Cyber at Nielsen and prior to that held various cyber roles at PwC, & TECO Energy.
Christy Lynch, Chief Marketing Officer
Christy is the Chief Marketing Officer at Deepwatch. Christy leads the Deepwatch marketing organization and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s marketing efforts to broaden market awareness and drive customer demand.
Christy brings more than 25 years of technology, marketing, and brand building experience at both high-growth startups and publicly-traded companies in the cybersecurity and enterprise technology industries. Previously, Christy served as Vice President of Communications and Customer Experience at Checkmarx, where she led global communications and branding, global demand campaigns and customer marketing. Prior to Checkmarx, Christy was Vice President of Corporate Marketing at CyberArk, where she helped expand market opportunities and increase brand value and visibility contributing to the company’s rapid growth, successful IPO and market leadership. Before that, she held marketing leadership positions at Mellanox (now Nvidia) and Voltaire (acquired by Mellanox).
Christy holds a bachelor of arts degree from Colby College and an MBA from Babson College’s F.W. Olin School of Business.
Carl Helle, Chief Revenue Officer
Carl is the Chief Revenue Officer at Deepwatch. Carl drives the company’s growth strategy including leading the sales and channel organization, delivering high levels of customer value, driving sustainable growth, and helping scale the organization.
Carl has a proven track record of scaling organizations to increase sales, ramping go-to-market strategies, and building high-quality teams at global cybersecurity and technology companies. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at BeyondTrust, and before that was Senior Vice President of American sales and channel at Proofpoint, where he led direct sales and channel teams to drive business growth. Those leadership positions were preceded by more than 12 years at Cisco Systems, where Carl held notable global and U.S. roles including director of worldwide business development & strategy for Cisco WebEx as well as Director of U.S. Commercial Collaboration for the same business unit.
He holds a degree in finance from Iowa State University and an MBA from Marquette University.
David Stoicescu, Chief Information Security Officer
David Stoicescu is the chief information security officer (CISO) at Deepwatch. Bringing a wealth of experience in designing and leading IT and information security practices at organizations from global tech companies to start-ups, Stoicescu oversees the planning, production, and execution of all information security related activities for Deepwatch.
He brings more than 16 years of experience to Deepwatch with expertise in establishing programs that scale for high growth, leading and executing security strategies that strengthen security and enable business, and developing and inspiring talent and teams.
