Hillstone License Management System (LMS) is a dedicated license management solution for virtual network function deployment such as Hillstone, CloudEdge, and virtual ADC. The LMS solution breaks the limitation of existing appliance-based license management solutions and provides cloud service providers (CSPs) a more flexible, efficient and automatic solution to centrally manage licenses for the virtual appliances deployed inside their cloud, no matter the deployment scenario or environment.

Key Executives

DongPing Luo, CEO and Co-Founder

DongPing Luo is the CEO and Co-Founder of Hillstone Networks. He first joined the company in 2006 as Vice President of Operations and Director of System Design. Previously, Luo was a senior manager of ASIC design at Juniper Networks and before that he worked as a senior staff member of ASIC design at NetScreen Technologies. Earlier in his career he worked with Cypress Semiconductor as a senior design engineer.

Luo earned an MS in electrical engineering from UC San Diego and an MS in applied science and an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University.

Helen Romano, Chief Operating Officer

Helen Romano is the Chief Operating Officer of Hillstone Networks. She has been engaged in team management and network security for over 10 years. Before joining Hillstone Networks, Romano was a cyber security specialist at Leonardo and before that worked as a team manager at TIM. Earlier in her career she worked with Accenture Italia as a cyber security analyst.

Romano graduated from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna with a master’s degree in computer science and from Sapienza Università di Roma with an undergraduate degree in computer science and applied mathematics.

Tim Liu, CTO and Co-Founder

Tim Liu is the CTO and Co-Founder of Hillstone Networks, which he co-founded in 2006. Liu first got his start in 1992 as a software engineer at Convex. From there, he went on to Intel, before eventually rising to senior engineering manager at Juniper Networks, his most recent position prior to joining Hillstone Networks.

Liu graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China as well as The University of Texas at Austin.
