Redis has become synonymous with its eponymous in-memory data structure store, a massively influential piece of software used to support a wide variety of abstract data structures. Initially founded as Garantia Data and then doing business as Redis Labs, Redis has grown organically over the last decade as the world has grown increasingly eager for its open-source in-memory NoSQL database and enterprise services. With more than 8,500 organizations counting on Redis for real-time database services, the company has deployed more than a million databases to date.

Based in Mountain View, California, Redis also has offices in Austin, London, Bengaluru, and its research and development headquarters in Tel Aviv. The company has maintained a small but dedicated team of 700, having grown by considerable leaps over the last several years, and it has maintained an annual recurring revenue of $100 million. According to Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Ofer Bengal, the company is considering a public launch within the next year.
