Peter Coppinger, CEO, Co-Founder & Board

Peter started his software entrepreneur career at the age of 10 when he was selling home-made shareware games via mail order floppy disks. Since then, Peter has been following a lifelong passion to build a hugely successful software company and have a positive impact on the world.

Between 1999 and 2010, Peter, alongside co-founder Dan, ran a software consultancy called Digital Crew that earned a good reputation building sophisticated applications for organizations like Pfizer and Lilly. Running this consultancy gave Peter a deep understanding of the needs of professional service companies and an obsession with customer satisfaction which has been carried through into Teamwork today. Peter is a lifelong learner with a relentless drive to make Teamwork a category winner.

Daniel Mackey, CTO, Co-Founder & Board

Daniel’s love of technology started at a young age programming games on his fathers work PC. Daniel’s obsession with computers and technology continued with a course in Electronic Engineering in Cork Institute of Technology before moving to Computer Science where he met Teamwork co-founder Peter. Between 1999 and 2010, Dan alongside co-founder Peter ran a software consultancy named Digital Crew building bespoke internet applications for large multinationals such as Pfizer, Lidl and T-Mobile.

Daniel and Peter developed Teamwork to help run Digital Crew and the various projects they worked on and eventually launched it as a SaaS offering. From 2010 Teamwork became the focus of the company with Daniel and Peter’s deep understanding of what agency and professional service companies wanted from a project management tool.

Daniel is an avid reader and lifelong learner with a passion for business and technology. Daniel has a huge ambition to build Teamwork into a global brand and category leader.

John O’ Mara, COO & Board

John joined Teamwork in January 2019 as Chief Financial Officer, prior to joining Teamwork he held a variety of C-Level finance and operating roles with both early stage international and established multinational businesses in the Software, Biotechnology, Professional Services and Manufacturing Sectors. Previous employers included Dell (Software), Quest Software, Mentor Graphics and ICON plc.

In January 2020, John assumed the COO role and joined the Board at Teamwork. John is a Graduate of University College Cork, a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and holds an MBA.

Derek Goggin, CFO

Derek joined Teamwork in 2020 from Malwarebytes, the next generation security vendor, where he led International Finance and was part of the team who established Malwarebytes international business and strategy. Over a 20 year period, Derek has held leadership roles in technology companies in finance and business management. Derek’s previous companies include Apple, Voxpro (acquired by Telus International) and Trend Micro. Derek is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Jeni Brown, CPO

Jeni joined Teamwork in May 2021, as Chief People Officer. Prior to this, Jeni held the role of VP, Strategic Organizational Enablement in Openet (an Amdocs company) with responsibility for strategic organizational enablement, culture and transformation across the Technology, Delivery & Customer Enablement group. Jeni has also held senior leadership roles at Independent News and Media, The Irish Times, Page 7 Media, KTL Group and acting IR/HR Executive in Ibec.

Jeni is the Director of Rubix3, a HR consultancy providing expertise to a large number of corporate clients. Jeni also acted as the Chair of Ibec Technology Ireland HR Forum in 2020, sat on the Advisory Board of The Context Factory and has recently been appointed Chair of Finglas Youth Resource Centre. Jeni is a member of the Institute of Directors. In addition, Jeni was recently featured in the Top 50 Women Leaders in SaaS of 2021 produced by The Software Report.

Brian Merritt, CCO

Brian joined Teamwork in January 2022 as Chief Customer Officer. Prior to this, Brian served as the VP of Revenue at Trustpilot, a leading online collaboration platform which IPO’d on the London Stock Exchange (TRST.L) in March of 2021. Brian has a history of building world class Customer Success teams that delight their customers, and drive revenue growth and profitability. Some of Brian’s previous employers include Pavilion, Wyng and CrossCap.
