Jyoti Bansal, CEO & Co-Founder


Jyoti Bansal is a multi-unicorn founder, serial technology entrepreneur and a passionate mentor and investor in the tech space. He is currently the founder and CEO of two high-growth technology companies: Harness, a platform to automate software delivery processes valued at $3.7 billion as of 2022, and Traceable AI — a cybersecurity platform for securing software applications. Both of these companies reflect Jyoti’s passionate belief that software can change the world for the better and build on the success of his first company, AppDynamics, which was acquired by Cisco for $3.7 billion in 2017. Founded in 2008, AppDynamics is an application intelligence company that provides enterprises with real-time insights into application performance. Jyoti led the company as founder and CEO for the first eight years, and as founder & Chairman for the last year until its acquisition by Cisco.


In addition to running Harness and Traceable, Jyoti is highly involved in developing the next generation of technology companies through mentorship and investment. In 2017 he launched BIG Labs, a startup accelerator aimed at solving extraordinarily difficult technology problems, and in 2018 co-founded VC firm Unusual Ventures with John Vrionis. The firm currently has more than $1 billion under management. Jyoti has also been the recipient of many leadership awards, including Forbes’ “Best Cloud Computing CEO to Work For”, “Best CEO” by San Francisco Business Times, and Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year for Northern California.


Jyoti received his BS in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is a prolific inventor and has more than 25 US patents under his name.


Sanjay Nagaraj, CTO & Co-Founder


Nagaraj is the CTO and Co-Founder of Traceable. He has over 20 years of experience as a Senior engineering leader with a proven ability to build and lead global teams to deliver robust and complex enterprise software solutions. Nagaraj is passionate about building and scaling teams from 2 member startups to large scale distributed teams. He is an entrepreneur at heart with a passion to build and scale products with a customer centric approach.


Nagaraj first got his start in 1997 as a senior software engineer at Philips software center. From there, he went on to Hyperion Solutions, before eventually rising to VP of Software Engineering at AppDynamics, his most recent position prior to joining Traceable. Nagaraj graduated from University of Mysore with an undergraduate degree in computer science.


Richard Bird, Chief Security Officer


Richard Bird is the Chief Security Officer for API Security leader Traceable and a multi-time C-level executive in both the corporate and start-up worlds. Richard is internationally recognized for his expert insights, work and views on cybersecurity, data privacy, digital consumer rights and identity-centric security. Richard delivers keynote presentations around the world and is a highly sought after public speaker. He is a Senior Fellow with the CyberTheory Zero Trust Institute, a Forbes Tech council member, and is interviewed and quoted frequently by media outlets around the world, including the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, Business Insider, CNN, NBC Nightly News and TechRepublic.


Arpit Patel, Chief Customer Officer


Arpit is a seasoned engineering leader and technologist with a wide-ranging skill set. He has been a part of and has worked to build stealth engineering teams, leading products from their inception and moving them to production and making them highly scalable. Arpit has a wide variety of experience building and leading Platform Engineering, SaaS Engineering, and DevOps, Performance Engineering, Quality Engineering as well as Customer Engineering, Support and Success teams.


Being a technologist, Arpit enjoys working on new and innovative solutions and has always pushed for the transformation of technology. Arpit has been advising several startups and leverages his deep technical background along with his fine sense of transforming ideas to products to assist these startups in their journey. Arpit is an expert in the Application Performance Management (APM) field as well as enjoys working on Big Data systems, Cloud OPS, SaaS Architectures and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). His interests are wide-ranging enabling him to build and work on various projects in different capacities while being able to present a collective front for the products he’s working on.
