With over 20 years of experience in human resources, Dana partners with management teams in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments to drive business results. Dana is the head of people at People.ai and has global responsibility for all human resource and facilities functions. Most of Dana’s career has been in the software industry building HR functions and acquiring, developing and retaining talent to effectively scale companies.Prior to joining People.ai, Dana was Senior Vice President, Global Head of People for Marin Software, Inc. from October 2011 through January 2019. Dana’s previous experience includes Director of Human Resources at Accelrys Inc. and Vice President of Human Resources for Classroom Connect, a Reed Elsevier company. Dana received her masters of science in human resources and organization development from University of San Francisco and earned her B.S. with honors from San Diego State University.
Mentorship: Dana is able to coach and mentor individuals because of the breadth and depth of issues and experiences. She does a wonderful job keeping tabs on industry trends and incorporating them into the business. She is a subject matter expert on topics such as leadership and management development and creating diverse and inclusive teams that are relevant to HR leaders and operators. Collaborative across functions and empowers teams to take initiative Strategic business partner: creating people programs that link to business results and engage other leaders to achieve those goals. All the key people initiatives that her team is developing are driven through people to support a documented business goal. Developing and coaching others is very important to her: this has helped the company to increase retention, productivity, and to avoid costly and time consuming performance problems. She is also involved outside of work in helping fundraise and raise awareness for Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
