Debjani Deb, CEO, and co-founder of ZineOne grew up in a small town in India in the shadow of the Himalayas. Her parents had high ambitions for their daughter, sending her to private school, then to the US for undergraduate college. As a summer intern at ATT, she was awarded a scholarship to Stanford. She went on to receive an MBA from MIT and began her career at Booz, Allen, Hamilton. She has consistently smashed the glass ceiling and now leads the fast-growing company, ZineOne. Last year Debjani was named one of the 10 Most Influential Artificial Intelligence Executives in 2019. Debjani founded ZineOne in 2014 to provide B2C companies with a patent-pending, AI-based personalization platform that increases revenues and customer loyalties. She has overseen the establishment of both the Silicon Valley office and an office in Mumbai, India. Most importantly, Debjani believes in supporting other women and today, more than 40% of the management team consists of women. In 2018, ZineOne was recognized by Gartner as a Cool Vendor, an award given to small, innovative companies. In just two short years, its Intelligent Customer Engagement or ICE platform was included in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Personalization Engines, a recognition reserved for established enterprise-ready companies. Debjani has led efforts to raise $7M since forming the company in 2014 which has been operating mostly on self-generated revenue. This is highly unusual for a Silicon Valley high tech company where most companies need to raise a large amount of cash to build their products and operate the business. ZineOne is privately held and Debjani is currently leading a Series B round of investment funding with a focus of maintaining value while expanding solutions to meet the growing demands of the retail, restaurant, banking and other industries.
