  1. For over 20 years, Jay has been contributing to elevate Boulder, Colorado as a hotbed of innovation. Jay’s key strengths are his tenacity to build a successful and trailblazing startup as well as his inspiring management style that prioritizes respect, kindness, and has instilled a culture of entrepreneurialism, transparency, and accountability at Automox. His ability to create such an inclusive and positive work culture and environment has provided employees with the clear direction and freedom to thrive and do their best work. During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jay’s strong leadership, decisiveness, adaptability, and compassion were highlighted as he worked closely with HR and the rest of his leadership team to shift the company to a permanent remote-first model. Jay listened to employees and their needs and ensured they have more flexibility with work so they could spend more time with family and maintain their mental health. He always leads by example and fosters true collaboration, open communication, and a sense of community throughout the organization, building trust with employees on all levels. More on Jay’s background: Prior to founding Automox, Jay served as an early-stage executive at two of Boulder’s most impressive startup success stories. He was employee number four at SolidFire, where he led the marketing and branding efforts for the next-generation flash storage provider. Before that, he spent 10 years at LeftHand Networks, where he broke new ground in the storage market with the company’s distributed SAN solution. Now, as the founder of Automox, he’s raising the world’s security confidence by protecting the most vulnerable data there is: information that is exposed to known vulnerabilities because too many organizations leave their systems unpatched and misconfigured.
