Joe Boyle began his professional career 24 years ago. Today, he is the CEO and Co-Founder of Salt Communications. Salt is the first company to provide a holistic solution for closed encrypted communications between modern smartphone users.
Boyle first got his start in 1997 as a software engineer at ApiOn Systems. From there, he went on to AePONA, before eventually rising to director of product management at Silver Peak Systems, his most recent position prior to joining Salt Communications.
Boyle graduated from Queens University Belfast with an MSc in computing and business.
Joe has founded a multi-award-winning cybersecurity company based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, that builds secure enterprise mobile communications solutions. SaltDNA offers ‘Peace of Mind’ for Organisations who value their privacy, by giving them complete control and secure communications, to protect their trusted relationships and stay safe. Also, creating the first company to provide a solution for encrypted communications between devices with centralised control for the enterprise. SaltDNA’s product provides secure voice, messaging, conference calling, broadcasting and image or file transfers for busy executives. SaltDNA’s customers include global law firms, financial institutions, defence and security clients, oil and gas companies and large enterprises. Joe has mentored a small team that is highly skilled with a very good mix of talented youth and experienced employees. As a company he ensures that every employee has a small share of ownership of the company. Joe has facilitated a real team ethos and provides staff with the motivation to make SaltDNA a success. His team is filled with drive and determination to grow the company and become a top global Cybersecurity firm. Joe’s role at SaltDNA is CEO of the company. He is one of the founding team members and having started as the COO of SaltDNA he then transitioned into the CEO position. Having been located in many parts of the globe for work in his past he has had the opportunity to work with many great leaders who he has been able to learn a lot from. Having come from a technical background Joe has been fortunate enough to have been exposed to many roles which involved managing the technical teams, whilst also being client facing at times with access to commercial discussions.
