Keith Elliston began his professional career 35 years ago. Today, he is the Chief Executive Officer of PHEMI Systems. PHEMI has developed a proprietary data privacy & governance platform that enables health organizations to unlock their data for innovation.
Elliston first got his start in 1986 as a director of bioinformatics at Merck Research Laboratories. From there, he went on to Bayer Pharmaceuticals, before eventually rising to co-founder & executive director at i2b2 tranSMART Foundation, his most recent position prior to joining PHEMI Systems.
Elliston graduated from Rutgers University with a Ph.D. in molecular genetics, from
the University of Minnesota with an MS in genetics and from the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with an undergraduate degree in biology.
