Ornella is at the core of of the company’s spirit: joyful, fresh, open minded, caring. Over the years, she has been building amazing teams, working in the shadows with managers and employees alike to prevent any kind of friction and keep everyone aligned and focused on the company’s goals. No wonder she considers her job as a chief happiness officer rather than your usual human resources manager. When hiring, Ornella has the ability to focus on the actual skills and added value for the teams rather than conventional criteria: the unusual profiles she brought onboard (an ex doctor that became a presales engineer for instance) have proved to be amazing additions to the company. Anywhere else they wouldn’t even have been considered.
Ornella is very smart and brilliant person. She always finds a way to put her ideas into work. She has great human qualities that emerge in her human resources strategies. She simply is a leader in HR world. She is a reliable person who loves her job and loves other people. She constantly seeks for improvement both professionally and personally.
Ornella is extremely organized, thoughtful in her approach, and genuinely wants her employees to be happy. I work at Glassdoor, and transparency is everything. She was transparent to me about her companies strengths and even though she has built a culture of 4.9 starts out of 5 she continually wants to improve. This is very important in a leader!
Ornella has been instrumental in keeping the developer culture that made Nuxeo what it is today. She did not know much about developers but has been amazing at learning, maintaining and growing that culture. Because of her Nuxeo has one of the smallest employee turnover I know in this industry.
As VP, People & Happiness, Ornella is a real listener, who knows her team, always extremely motivated, who knows how to motivate people and connect themselves. She still has very good ideas for moving the company forward and she’s only been making progress since her arrival.
