Sam Johnston is the Chief Marketing Officer of BookingLive. He first joined the company in 2017 as head of sales and marketing. BookingLive is the leading online booking and reservation solution on the market, providing scheduling, appointment and booking solutions for organisations of all types and sizes; helping organisations increase sales, improve efficiency, save money, and engage with their users digitally, in intuitive and simple brand elevating ways.


Previously, Johnston was a marketing and branding consultant at IRON ASYLUM and before that a national sales and marketing manager at Inspiring Learning. Earlier in his career he worked with The Hive – kids as an operations manager and field learning expert.


Johnston graduated from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

  1. Sam has led his team through the COVID19 pandemic, pivoting our product in new and innovative ways to support on a local and global scale the effort to combat the effects of the pandemic. Working with his developers to win the COVID19 Global Hackathon, bringing a new volunteer management system to the market, working with local government organizations across the EU to bring FREE retail appointment scheduling and covid-secure capacity management to small business owners and the high street. Sam has been a source of positivity, hard work and inspiration to the wider team and industry through the pandemic.
