Sarah Hackforth is the Director Field Operations of AWS Elemental, an Amazon Web Services Company. She first joined the company in 2014. AWS Elemental is flexible, software-based video processing and delivery that gives global media franchises, pay-TV operators, content programmers, broadcasters, government agencies and enterprise customers the ability to deliver highly differentiated viewing experiences and the freedom to focus on what matters: transforming ideas into compelling content that captivates viewers.

Previously, Hackforth was a sales director at PinPlus Limited and before that a VP of sales at Quaternion Technology. Earlier in her career she worked with Mack Trucks as a management trainee and sales executive.

Hackforth earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Sarah has more than 25 years of experience successfully introducing new multimedia platforms, products, and technology into the Broadcast and Media & Entertainment industry, managing change, and acting as a trusted advisor to her customers and partners. Sarah is a senior manager with the ability to identify and develop opportunities with an innovative and team-based approach to achieve and deliver business objectives, often with disruptive business start-ups through to acquisition, most recently with Elemental Technologies. Sarah has also been responsible for negotiating and winning various multi-million dollar contracts with large multi-nationals and operators such as BT, France Telecom, Telia, Telefonica, UPC, Siemens, Lucent Alcatel, HP, Cisco, Tandberg, and Ericsson. As a manager, Sarah has either created from the ground up or taken over poorly performing teams, structured and built them into more cohesive and productive organizations, and improved outcomes and results. The feedback from her team is always overwhelmingly positive. Likewise, Sarah has throughout her career created, developed, and effectively managed multiple partner and indirect channels for the introduction of new products.
