Tony Craythorne is the CEO of Bamboo Systems. Bamboo Systems provides a new generation of ARM based server-class platform that natively converges compute, storage and networking with support for web-scale application deployment in a high-density, low-power and scalable manner. Craythorne has over 34 years in the information technology industry. He began his career in 1987.

Before joining Bamboo Systems, Craythorne was an SVP of worldwide sales at Komprise and before that an SVP of worldwide sales at Nexsan. Earlier in his career he worked with Businessland Distribution as an account manager.

Craythorne graduated from Burnham Grammar with an undergraduate degree in history.

Prior to Komprise, Tony held senior management positions at a number of companies including Nexsan, Brocade, Hitachi Data Systems, Nexgen (acquired by Pivot 3), Bell Micro and Connected Data. Tony leads a team laser-focused on revolutionizing the server market, replacing traditional x86 architecture with Arm servers designed for the next generation data center, based on the company’s patented design. Bamboo delivers high throughput computing for modern micro-services-based software, while minimizing energy consumption and heat output. Bamboo Arm servers use 75% less energy, with 74% less carbon output, at 50% of the acquisition cost, of a traditional x86 server. Tony realizes how important data center modernization is for the planet.
