Mark Kelsey, Chief Executive Officer
Mark Kelsey is the Chief Executive Officer for the portfolio of brands under LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Group. Appointed to this position in December 2012, he is responsible for driving revenue and emerging market needs with cutting-edge technology, unique data and advanced scoring analytics. Mark joined Reed Business Information in 1983, (RBI) and was appointed to the Board in 1992 as managing director of Estates Gazette. In previous roles as Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer of RBI, he led the company’s transformation from traditional publisher to a provider of data and analytics. RBI eventually became part of what is today known as LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group.
Mark holds a BA in Geography from the University of Liverpool and an MBA from the University of Bradford. LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group is part of RELX, a global provider of information and analytics for professional and business customers across industries.
Rebecca Schmitt, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Rebecca (Becky) Schmitt is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the portfolio of brands under LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Group. Prior to joining the LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Group, Becky spent 20 years with Sara Lee Corporation where she held a variety of positions. Her most recent roles were Chief Financial Officer for various divisions, including the Sara Lee Bakery portfolio.
Becky holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation and earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hanover College, and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. She serves on the Board of Directors for Atlanta Women’s Foundation.
Vijay Raghavan, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Vijay Raghavan is the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for the portfolio of brands under LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Group. In this position, he is responsible for software development, R&D, information systems, security, and data center operations.
Having spent almost 30 years in Information Technology, Vijay has extensive experience in the management of diverse technology functions, with oversight of the full software development lifecycle and support functions for high-availability applications, which are powered by high-performance supercomputing platforms. Previously, Vijay served as Vice President, Insurance Technology, LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, where he was responsible for all aspects of application development and maintenance for the insurance products.
Prior to joining the LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Vijay held senior executive positions at Paragon Solutions, where he was chief technology officer; and at McKesson, a Fortune 15 company, where he was Vice President, Product Development within the Imaging Solutions Group.
Vijay holds a B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science and completed an Advanced Executive Education Program in Management, Innovation, and Technology at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Shweta Vyas, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
Shweta Vyas is the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for the portfolio of brands under LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Group. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic direction and corporate development initiatives of the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group businesses. Previously, Shweta served as vice president of Market Planning for Health Care at LexisNexis® Risk Solutions. Shweta joined LexisNexis Risk Solutions in 2010 as Director of Strategy & Business Development before transitioning to the Health Care business in 2016. She moved to her current role within LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group in March 2020.
Prior to joining LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Shweta spent three years as a management consultant at LEK consulting and five years in various finance roles at Lucent Technologies. Shweta holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University as well as an MSc in Finance from Babson College and a BA in Economics from Emory University.
Dean Curtis, Chief Executive Officer Data Services and Managing Director for ICIS
Dean Curtis is the Chief Executive Officer of Data Services for LexisNexis® Risk Solutions and managing director of ICIS. Before being named to his current role, Dean previously served as CEO of ICIS, Managing Director of LexisNexis® Risk Solutions U.K., and was responsible for the international expansion and growth of the Risk Solutions business across the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
Before joining RELX in January 2014, Dean was VP, Global Business Director at Thomson Reuters and Managing Director at Wolters Kluwer. In these roles he successfully established market leading businesses using next generation data, analytics and technology to address key business challenges and improve customer outcomes by making the best business decisions. Prior to this, Dean served as an executive in the Asset Management and Private Client businesses at Investec, HSBC Investment Bank and Rothschild & Co.
