  1. Anna joined Asana as its first Head of People Operations in 2016. In her role, she works closely with the executive team as they scale Asana’s uniquely collaborative and transparent culture, which has grown to over 700 employees. Her goal is to build and evolve people programs that help Asana achieve its business, diversity, and inclusion goals in a way that is consistent with company values. Asana is committed to the idea of “fast growth, mindful business,” and Anna is constantly working to ensure that Asana’s mission to empower its team to do great work continues to thrive, with programming focused on achieving business, diversity, and inclusion goals. Anna has led her team in creating an environment in which everyone at Asana can be confident in bringing their whole selves to work, in making their voices heard, and in understanding they belong. The company’s inclusive culture is representative of Anna’s leadership. Under Anna’s leadership, Asana has a number of employee resource groups, including minority inclusion group Gradient, female leadership organization AsanaWomen, and LGBTQ+ friendly Team Rainbow. Asana has been named one of Fortune’s Top 10 Best Workplaces three years in a row, as well as the #1 Best Workplace in the Bay Area, one of the Best Workplaces for Women, Best CEOs for Diversity, a certified Great Place to Work in Ireland, and three years in a row as one of Inc.’s Best Workplaces. Trust is paramount to Asana’s culture. It’s important that employees, regardless of title, team, or tenure, feel welcome and encouraged to share ideas and thoughts. By nature, Asana recognizes the human aspect of work: One of the company’s core values is ‘heartitude,’ which embraces what makes employees human, and encourages everyone to take time to play, have fun, and create meaningful experiences for their own sake. Anna ensures the office life at Asana is both fast-paced and mindful, challenging and fun, transparent and trusting.
