Asim Razzaq is the CEO and Co-Founder of Yotascale. He first joined the company in 2015. Yotascale provides cloud operations and finance teams with predictable cloud costs.
Previously, Razzaq was a senior director for platform services engineering at Paypal and before that a vice president for engineering at Axcient. Earlier in his career he worked with Public Mind as a lead architect.
Razzaq earned an undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.
Asim’s key strengths are his ability to connect with people and be a mentor to employees, and his entrepreneurial mindset. Asim founded Yotascale in 2015 because, previously as a Sr. Director of Platform Engineering at PayPal and eBay, he felt the pain points firsthand when it came to managing today’s complex cloud environments. He was looking for a way to make the cloud economically and environmentally viable for organizations of all sizes across the globe, and find ways to empower engineers by optimizing the world’s cloud spend. Asim is inspiring real change in the world of cloud computing that positively impacts people and the planet. This was the company’s vision when he started it and it’s still its vision today.
