Cassie is a customer-obsessed operator. She has strong conviction that if every business were maniacally focused on making its customers successful with its products (within its financial constraints, of course!), that no business would fail.
Before joining Primary in early 2020, Cassie was Chief Customer Officer for CM Group, an Insight-owned family of global marketing technology brands including Sailthru, Campaign Monitor, Delivra, Emma, Vuture and Liveclicker; Cassie assumed that role when CM Group acquired Sailthru in late 2018. In her post as Chief Customer Officer, she ran an end-to-end customer operations team of 200+ people around the globe while also working on general business strategy and M&A for CM Group’s portfolio. Prior to the acquisition, she served as Sailthru’s Chief Commercial Officer, where she led the company’s transition into the enterprise market and was featured as #25 in The SaaS Report’s “Top Women Leaders in SaaS” in 2018.
Cassie joined Sailthru from Gerson Lehrman Group where as VP Marketing & Analytics, she helped to lead GLG’s intrapreneurship efforts. Prior to GLG, she served as VP Marketing for Savored (acquired by Groupon in 2012). Previously, Cassie was an early employee at TheLadders.com, where she spent several years managing marketing and analytics for the company’s subscription business. She began her career as a technology and media analyst at Citigroup Global Corporate & Investment Bank.
Cassie graduated from Duke University and holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She is also on the advisory board for Venture for America.
Cassie is a motivational force at Sailthru. She is able to rally employees, customers, and prospects around a strategic company vision, and at the same time has her finger on the pulse of all customer and prospect relationships. As an employee working under Cassie, I can attest that she’s approachable, trustworthy and always is the first to offer strategic advice. She’s hardworking and dedicated, which encourages the company to follow suit.
Cassie has both an incredible professional face with clients and colleagues, but also connects really well with her colleagues on a personal level. She believes in being candid, and her leadership has paved the way for managers and other leadership to be the same way. She has built trust with everyone and set the bar high for what a leader at Sailthru should be like to effectively gain the trust and respect of everyone around her.

In my role, I work cross functionally with managers and executives, Cassie is by far the most engaging and the greatest leader there is…and just a superwoman that can do it all at all times. Her ability to solve business roadblocks as well as managing a large team of people with a care for each person is rare in my years of experience. Cassie’s level of energy cannot be matched. She is simply superhuman.
Honestly, I’ve worked with some amazing people, both men and women, in the SaaS space, some of which saw some of the biggest exits in NY Start up history, and Cassie is one of the best I’ve ever worked with. She is intelligent, passionate, and so easy to work with. I have never been around another executive outside this company that has been so welcoming and helpful in all aspects of the business.
Cassie is tireless — but not just in terms of operational excellence, discipline and execution. She is the most dedicated leader and people manager, with an an awe inspiring amount of energy, compassion and commitment to her people and teams. She is a powerful example of lead by example. No one works harder, is more client-focused, more committed, loyal and diligent than Cassie.
Cassie is a fierce and driven executive who leads by example, running through walls for the business and our customers, balancing high standards and a diplomatic charismatic communication style. She’s a great mentor and manager, a team player, a tireless worker, and, I think, destined to become an extraordinary CEO.
Cassie goes to great lengths to engage with employees throughout the company in a forthright and transparent manner. Her efforts to keep individual contributors informed helps them understand what is going on with the company as a whole, and why their work is important.
Cassie is one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met. She has a great head for numbers, an incredible memory, and always has time to respond to questions or support her team. She has helped to transform Sailthru as an organization in my time there.
She is amazing, she is always on top every issue that comes her way and makes being head of Sales and CS look easy. She is basically Wonder Woman. If I had to pick one woman at my company as a role model, it would be her.
Cassie has been an absolutely outstanding, transformational leader at Sailthru the past 5+ years, heading up multiple teams from Customer Success to Sales with poise, professionalism, and boundless energy.
