Danielle du Toit previously drove the overall strategy and operating plan for Cheetah Digital’s Global Services business impacting more than 650 people and serving over 2,000 clients across 13 countries. Prior to joining Cheetah Digital, she served in a number of leadership roles at notable software companies, including Salesforce, ExactTarget, and Bullhorn. Cheetah Digital is responsible for solution design and implementation, on-going campaign management, program management and technology, as well as creative and strategic services to manage clients end-to-end.Danielle was born and raised in Zimbabwe. While studying physics and computer science at Rhodes University, Zimbabwe’s economy collapsed which led to Danielle seeking opportunity through international pursuits. Subsequently, Danielle and her direct family have lived in 18 countries. She currently lives in New York City, is a contributor to Fortune’s Most Powerful Women column and is a sought after speaker at leading technology conferences around the world.
As the President of SeatGeek Enterprise, Danielle oversees the entire B2B arm of SeatGeek’s ticket platform, working with clients around the globe to help people experience more live. SeatGeek’s clients sell tens of millions of tickets every year, and Danielle runs all the teams involved with this process, from product and service, to sales and marketing. Prior to joining SeatGeek, Danielle spent two years at Cheetah Digital as the Executive Vice President of Global Services, Strategy and Operations. In this role Danielle led a team of over 650 people, across almost 20 locations globally, serving thousands of global clients, many of them Fortune 500. Prior to Cheetah Digital she spent time at Bullhorn, ExactTarget, Salesforce, and a number of other companies, serving in a variety of global leadership roles. Danielle also serves as a board member for Australian-based Outfit.io, as well as over 15 years on the Board of a South African e-Schools’ Network.
Danielle is not only a master of the numbers and the business, she is one of the most empathetic leaders I have ever known and knows how to get the best out of her people. She knows when to be tough and when to be kind and isn’t afraid of honest conversations in all directions. As a lifelong learner, it’s impossible not to be energized, motivated and excited by being around Danielle. Her energy and desire to learn AND teach are contagious. She is such an engaging leader and I feel truly privileged to be a part of her leadership team. So much I attribute to myself as a leader I have learned from her and I am grateful there are still leaders like Danielle in technology and SaaS.
Danielle has many strengths, but for me the ones I’ve seen demonstrate the most powerful impact are her ability to inspire and her ability to get the best out of people. She does this by modeling behavior, asks to be held accountable and transparent to a high standard, and perhaps most importantly treats people with a genuine warmth and caring about the PERSON and the BUSINESS. In a business like ours which changes so quickly and is filled with acquisitions, divestitures, and client pressures, it is incredibly important to be able to grow, mobilize, and nurture trust and engagement in order to form a cohesive global team.
Danielle is full of energy and passionate about the success of Cheetah Digital. She has devoted herself to creating a Services organization that is all about being dedicated to marketers (our clients). Danielle takes her work seriously but creates an atmosphere that is both fun and creative for her team. She has high expectations, but is incredibly supportive of her leaders and is always encouraging and willing to brainstorm ideas for success. Overall, she is a highly effective leader who commands excellence in all that she and her team does and is more than deserving of the Top 25 Women Leaders in SaaS.
Danielle is an incredible leader, both within Global Services, and our New York office. She is enthusiastic, and works hard to recognize the efforts of everyone. She is passionate about the importance of truly serving clients and providing them with deliverables and outcomes. Danielle built the first ever Center of Excellence in our organization, allowing 650+ global services experts around the world to more easily share information, best practices, understand their own career growth and provide the best possible experience for Cheetah Digital clients.
Danielle is basically a walking TED talk. She motivates everyone she meets. She has a unique ability to connect the dots and help others see the best within themselves. On top of all of it she is in-tune with technology, all trends and how we can excel within our business. There isn’t a book she hasn’t read on leadership and skills.
Danielle not only has a great vision, but the passion and energy to push that vision into reality. She is a terrific role model, open and supportive of innovative ideas from her team, and incredibly dedicated to making Cheetah Digital great for our clients and great for her staff.
