Deanna joined Acquia in 2022 as SVP of Product, DXP. Widen is a marketing technology company trusted by the world’s most recognized brands.
Previously, she was a VP of Product at Widen, An Acquia Company and before that a Web Designer and Buisness Analyst at EDS Group.
She graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with MBA and Loras College with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science/ English Writing.
Deanna has grown as an impactful leader through the 5 years I’ve worked with her. She has taken the Widen product and created a full fledged Product department, complete with a full UX team. She has flexed and shifted along the way and has shown a great amount of humility and growth in the face of problems and learnings as they have come up during this time of great growth. She started the Leanin group at Widen and has shown a lot of growth and leadership within the women in technology movement of equality as well and I admire and appreciate that, too. Deanna is easy to approach, always offers her time to help if needed, and is wonderfully genuine.
Success is working alongside a team and surpassing goals together. Through this, I build trust and respect while providing immediate recognition. This fosters continuous learning and builds alignment that drive results. As an organization succeeds, I have learned to lead from the front to remove roadblocks that empower individuals to succeed on their own. This can be making the hard decisions, as well as setting the corporate ideology and organizational strategy so others can make decisions. I lead by example and through vulnerability of failing and learning from those failures. Great leaders harness the collective intelligence of remarkable teams.

Deanna may be the VP of Dev but she is always willing to take time to speak with and listen to the lowly dev entry-level team member. She works so hard and so much and you can tell that she just fully loves this company and drives the company forward with software changes that increase our profitability and has been doing so for the last 15 years.
Deanna provides a vision for our company, gets everyone on board, and then helps execute that vision. She has a great deal of technical knowledge and expertise that helps us move fast but also takes time to reflect on our decisions and continue to make better ones.
