Profile

Jennifer Kaelin is the Chief Financial Officer of Pendo, a software development solution that provides product teams with user insight, user guidance and user communication tools. Jennifer joined the company two years ago during a spate of executive hirings aimed at rapidly expanding the management team to lead the organization through continued rapid growth. And so far, Jennifer has lived up to the high expectations when she came on board. During her tenure as CFO, she has overseen a successful $100 million funding round on a $1 billion valuation, making Pendo one of North Carolina’s few unicorns.

Jennifer joined Pendo from cloud-based business automation solutions provider SciQuest (now Jaegger), where she also served as CFO. In her eleven years with the company, it grew from $9 million to $110 million in revenue; she managed all financial operations, oversaw and integrated four key acquisitions and played a key role in the company’s IPO and eventual sale. Earlier in her career, Jennifer was Corporate Controller at Art.com, Controller at Modus Media International and a financial analyst at IBM. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and management as well as her master’s in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
