Joel Montaniel is the CEO and Co-Founder of SevenRooms. SevenRooms is a fully-integrated, data-driven guest experience platform that helps hospitality operators connect data across the guest journey. Montaniel has 15 years in the computer software industry. He began his career in 2006.
Before joining SevenRooms, Montaniel was a chief of staff at LivePerson and before that a commercial real estate at C&K Properties. Earlier in his career he worked with Credit Suisse as an analyst of real estate finance and securitization.
Montaniel graduated and from Georgetown University with an undergraduate degree in English and biology.
Joel is a natural people leader. He is an excellent communicator, and has helped foster a company culture that leads with transparency and openness. As a founder of SevenRooms, Joel has gone above and beyond every day to make the company what it is today. In 2011, he co-founded a company that now employs over 130 people across 5 countries, originating the company culture and creating the business that exists today. Since the beginning he has been a key leader in moving the industry forward with new innovation through SevenRooms’ product. Management and strategy are Joel’s key areas of strength. As CEO, he has played a pivotal role in setting the strategy for the company as it has grown into 250 cities across the world. His communication skills are unparalleled, as he has established himself as a resource for hospitality operators near and far in helping them run their operations.
Joel is a culture champion, bringing together diverse pools of folks from every function to work together to achieve and crush big goals! He has a strong vision, sets high standards with clear expectations. He shows genuine interest in people, and I can’t think of a better leader for this business.
