Marc has a successful track record of building significant value for high-growth technology companies with focused success in enterprise IT automation and cybersecurity software space. As SaltStack CEO and co-founder, Marc has led the company through its seed and series A financing rounds totaling $31 million. Marc has guided SaltStack through the rapid growth of the pervasive Salt open source project to the delivery of high-value SaltStack solutions for enterprise security, IT, and network operations teams.

With Altiris he participated in its 2002 IPO and eventual $1 billion acquisition by Symantec. In 2009, he joined SaaS provider Compliance11 and in two years quadrupled the client base prior to an acquisition by Charles Schwab in 2011. Marc has also worked in the financial services sector for Morgan Stanley within its investment management division. Marc holds an MBA in finance and an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.
