Maria Christopoulos Katris is the Founder & CEO of Built In. Built In is a network of online communities operating as a recruitment solution for tech companies and startups in seven major tech markets. Katris has 21 years in the internet industry. She began her career in 2000.

Before joining Built In, Katris was an executive director at TiE Midwest and before that a founder and former president at Nanny Boutique, Inc. Earlier in her career she worked with Arthur Andersen & Co. as a consultant.

Katris graduated from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management with an MBA in marketing and entrepreneurship and from Miami University with an undergraduate degree in finance.
