  1. As the vice president of demand generation at Redis Labs, Michelle Pampin plays a critical role in driving the success of the company. Before Michelle joined Redis Labs in December 2017, the company did not have a specialized demand generation team. She grew a talented and agile demand generation team from the ground up in an extremely short amount of time, and began delivering results immediately. In fact, Redis Labs just marked its 13th quarter of double digit growth. This accomplishment is certainly in part credited to Michelle and her team, who have been consistently beating their demand creation quarterly goals since Michelle took the helm. Michelle has been running marketing teams since 2002, and within this sector she has always gravitated toward demand generation. Michelle leads her industry in her abilities to build out extremely sophisticated marketing stacks to foster demand generation digitally. She has a unique ability to stretch the capabilities of the systems she works with to maximize benefits. Michelle also understands the need for speed. In the SaaS environment, taking a set and forget approach to demand generation programs is sure to fail. Michelle ensures her team stays agile, constantly reviewing and evaluating programs to determine what is working and what’s not. For programs that are not resonating with target audiences, Michelle swiftly makes changes to boost sales leads. She knows numbers don’t lie, and therefore relies on advanced analytics to fine-tune programs as needed. Additionally, she leverages data to arm the sales team with the critical information they need to know about a prospect to be successful in closing the deal. Her rich experience in SaaS and understanding of the unique pain points of developers helps her see the complete buyer journey extremely clearly, which enables her to leverage the exact data needed at each step to improve outcomes. As a leader and mentor to her team at Redis Labs, Michelle takes a hands-on approach. She has weekly one-on-one meetings with each of her direct reports to discuss personal and professional goals, and to identify areas in which her employees can take on new responsibilities. She takes a special interest in their long-term goals investing in their growth so they will not only be successful within Redis Labs, but also when they move on to their next career opportunities. Recognizing employees don’t stay with one company forever and building their skills beyond the scope of their current employer is a somewhat unique management trait, but one that has garnered Michelle immense respect and appreciation from her team and colleagues. Michelle also empowers her team to take risks. She recognizes that failure is an integral part of learning, and encouraging bold, out-of-the-box thinking is what helps her team stay ahead of the competition. The success of her team is directly impacting the growth of Redis Labs, in turn requiring even more resources to continue to drive demand generation. A year from now, Michelle expects her team to double in size. Michelle has demonstrated success implementing and executing global demand generation programs to scale at numerous companies. Most recently, she was vice president of marketing at Broadly, Inc., an online reviews platform that helps local businesses manage their online reputations and engage new customers. Michelle has also held executive roles at Cambium Networks, Symmetricom (acquired by Microsemi), Alvarion, JDSU (now Viavi) and Harris Corporation. Already a recognized leader in her field, Michelle was named as a 2014 Women of M2M honoree by Connected World magazine while serving as vice president of global marketing at Cambium Network.

  3. Organization – on top of everything. Planning – Uses organization to leverage her experience to work backwareds to meet her goals. Personal Execution – she’s able to work autonomously to do whatever it takes to meet her goals, essentially helping management help themselves. Employee/Vendor trust and empowerment – she picks the people around her to do the work and then trusts them to do the work
