Before joining Momentus Technologies as a Chief Revenue Officer, Mike was a Senior Vice President of Sales, Americas & APAC of JAGGAER is the leading procure-to-pay provider in the higher education and government sectors.


Previously, he was a Senior Vice President, Global Sales at Liquidity Services and before that a Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Tru-Markets. Earlier in his career he worked with AssetNation as a Vice President & General Manager.


He graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with an undergraduate degree in Sports Management.

Sales Effectiveness — Mike provides creative solutions to challenges along the sales pipeline and helps remove barriers for team members like myself to be effective Motivation – Mike uses realistic, empathetic and positive means to motivate his team during sales meetings and conveys an understanding that has been previoulsy lacking in management Resilience – Mike explores multiple options and helps drive what is achievable through alignment with executive level customer team members. His push is generally well received by clients, and effective! Alignment with company values – Mike aligns himself with company values (Passion, Accountability, Empathy, Transparency, and Humility) when dealing with customers but also when dealing with employees. Mike tows the line with personal interactions and professional communications to remain consistent and true to what he stands for

  2. Vision. We first crossed paths in the early 2000s with a company called FreeMarkets, who were pioneers in eProcurement. Mike embodied the vision and is carrying it forward at JAGGAER. He really understands what the company’s products can offer different organizations in terms of business value. Resilience. I think Mike gets this from his mother. He never knew his father, who was killed in Vietnam but his mother set a great example of never giving up. Motivation: This is based on Mike’s insights into human qualities. He is very good at identifying strengths in his team’s members and putting them in roles where they can shine. Openness to change: JAGGAER was going through a fundamental shift in organization and positioning when Mike joined, and he embraced this.

  3. Mike Besecker has continued to deliver at a high level. He sets a clear vision for his team, and motivates us to execute on the plan. Mike is a data driven, forward thinking leader, who has been able to make a huge impact within the sales culture and results since joining JAGGAER. He has driven focus into areas of differentiation, and doubled down the efforts to grow each vertical at explosive rates. Not only is he a great leader, he also take interest in developing talent internally, which has resulted in multiple key promotions, which provides a great culture to want to be a part of.

  4. Team Leadership – came into JAGGAER last year and made an impact within his first few months with his vision for the sales force and our vertical strategy. Vision for our customer’s success – shares a relentless vision to ensure JAGGAER’s customer’s success. It’s at the core of JAGGAER. Mike is also an empathetic leader. I was diagnosed with cancer last year and had a tough road to go for my treatment plan. Mike called and text me periodically and even on weekends to see how I was doing. You just don’t see this kind of empathy with executives anymore.

Given the task of managing across not only the Americas, but APAC too, he manages to provide valuable insight across markets, verticals, and countries. This insight and support enables his teams to be more effective. Mike is willing to be brought in directly to sales cycles at all stages to liaise directly with prospects and customers, as well as connect his team members with each other to help further understanding and shared information, ultimately making his team more effective at their jobs.

  7. Mike is a very steady hand at the head of the sales organization. The calm demeanor he brings is huge for team morale and performance. Mike is exceptional and providing us with visual explanations of our goals and past performance and explaining what we need to do in order to be successful. He is also very empathetic. 2020 was a tough year for many and he was able to weave that in to his leadership efforts to keep everyone “up”.
