Monica Jonas is the Chief Operating Officer of Oritain, a forensic science verification of origin providing traceability in supply chains.
Monica’s career spans over 20 years across both the public and private sectors, and ranges from media conglomerates to start-ups. Prior to Oritain, she was a COO at WorkFusion and before that an SVP of Global Business Operations at Viacom Media Networks. She has held technology management roles at Tacoda Systems, Washingtonpost. Newsweek Interactive, PBS, and NASA Space Station Freedom Program Office.
As a technology leader, Monica serves as a mentor to women in the field, helping them to identify and hone their skills and talents. A native of New York City, Monica received her BA in Comparative Literature from Clark University and her MS in Information Systems from The Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University.
She works hard and smart, deliver results and set an example for her peers. She not only is an influencing and strategic leader but also enables her peers and reports to grow with her, both professionally and personally. There’s not a ton of leaders who like to get on the ground and get involved in the day to day acting as a team member. She loves to share knowledge and lessons learned with her peers to help them be successful.
