Shri joined SimpleLegal in 2019 as Vice President, Products & Design. SimpleLegal is the modern legal operations platform for in-house legal.
Previously, he was a RiseSmart at Senior Director, Product Management and before that a Director Product Management at Granular. Earlier in his career he worked with Oracle as a Principal Product Manager.
He graduated from University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business with MBA and in University of Mumbai with a master’s and an undergraduate degree in Financial Accounting and Auditing.
First and foremost, Shri genuinely cares about each and every person he comes into contact with. He always puts the customer first, thinking of innovative ways to solve their problems through the SimpleLegal platform. He collaborates with all of his colleagues both within the product organization and cross-functionally to ensure that all voices are heard and represented in the final outcome. Shri’s ability to distill complex problems into streamlined solutions for legal departments is one of his key strengths. This is evident in the SimpleLegal product, which continues to evolve, ensuring users get immediate value through valuable functionality and an intuitive user interface. Shri has been instrumental in bringing process and logic to things that are naturally chaotic, like launching products. Leveraging his immense product management experience, he’s able to take a step back, refocus the team on our goal(s), and break up hurdles into more manageable parts in order to successfully achieve our objectives. This has helped SimpleLegal stay extremely focused when we take products and new features to market, leading to on-time launches, transparency for our customers, and better resource allocation. Shri’s empathy not only makes him a great product leader, he’s a fantastic teammate as well. He leads from the front, never from the rear – and doesn’t shy away from rolling his sleeves up to get projects across the finish line. He doesn’t ask anybody to do anything he isn’t willing to do, which is a rare quality to find these days. He also says what he means and means what he says, establishing a reputation for the entire Product organization as a team that delivers impactful outcomes and results.
