   Yuriy Bulygin is a security researcher turned entrepreneur. Most recently, he was the impetus behind Eclypsium, Inc., an enterprise device integrity platform for modern distributed organizations, which he co-founded in 2017. The Eclypsium platform solves the latest and most potent device and supply chain integrity problems by identifying known and unknown devices throughout the enterprise, verifying current firmware and hardware against the world’s largest database, and fortifying devices through automated configuration control and updates. Its cloud-based solution is deployed in minutes, utilizing an organization’s existing staff and resources. Yuriy was behind the creation of the open-source CHIPSEC project, which provides a framework for analyzing the security of PC platforms, including hardware, system firmware (BIOS/UEFI), and platform components. It includes a security test suite, tools for accessing various low-level interfaces, and forensic capabilities. Previously, he worked for McAfee as a senior director of advanced threat research and chief threat researcher and in a variety of security roles at Intel Corp. (Bloomberg once referred to him as “Intel’s former threat guru). As a child growing up in the Soviet Union, he witnessed the Chernobyl power plant disaster, and the ensuing desire to understand not only how things work but why (and how) they fail became a driving force in his professional career. Yuriy exemplifies the kind of perseverance and determination that is a hallmark of successful entrepreneurs. Eclypsium was his first foray into running and growing a company into the flourishing venture it is today
