CaseWare’s New CEO Revealed As Former Virgin Pulse CEO David Osborne

Canadian company, CaseWare has announced that its new Chief Executive Officer is former CEO of Virgin Pulse, David Osborne. Founded in 1988, CaseWare helps accounting firms, governments and corporations manage audit and financial reporting processes efficiently and with less risk.

Osborne served as CEO at Virgin Pulse for five years. Osborne joined Virgin Pulse in 2016 following the company’s acquisitions of GCC and ShapeUp.

Virgin Pulse is the world’s largest digital health and wellbeing company and helps seven million employees at 3,100 workplaces across the globe to sustain healthy habits and build employee wellbeing into the DNA of their corporate culture. Osborne brings 22 years of business experience to Virgin Pulse and leads more than 1,000 Virgin Pulse employees from the company’s headquarters in Providence, Rhode Island.

He initially joined in 2016 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Under his leadership, the company’s revenue tripled and 10 businesses were merged. Osborne is a seasoned software executive with more than two decades of business-to-business (B2B), SaaS, and cloud technology experience, specifically in the Human Capital Management (HCM) market.

He’s previously worked at Drillinginfo, Vista Consulting Group, SumTotal Systems, Lawson, Infor, COMSYS and iGATE.

“David has extensive experience and a proven record in leading software companies’ product expansion and go-to-market strategies while delivering customer-focused solutions to bring value to customers and driving a strong workplace culture among employees,” said Mike Sabbatis, the newly appointed CaseWare chairman of the board.

Sabbatis has been serving as a senior advisor to CaseWare. In his new role as chair, he is charged with guiding the strategic direction of the board, aligning CaseWare’s business and shareholder initiatives.

Earlier this year, CaseWare unveiled new technology solutions that enable accountants and auditors to work smarter, faster and more cohesively, both now and for the long term. The solutions included in the announcement are: CaseWare PBC Requests, CaseWare ReviewCompTax, CaseWare Audit and CaseWare AnalyticsAI. By bringing them together in one product suite – that seamlessly ties in with other CaseWare solutions such as Working Papers – the company is giving accountants the support they need to shift their entire practice to the cloud.
