According to John in a blog post, “It’s no secret that Cisco is working to deliver customer value faster. We have always been driven by customer satisfaction, but we know we must become “customer obsessed.” Cisco and our Partners are laser focused on the customer experience – the value we deliver at every point of the lifecycle.”

John’s passion begins with igniting extraordinary partnerships. With customers and colleagues, he seeks to build teams that continuously innovate and produce balanced and sustainable growth.

John has over 20 years of experience leading sales teams and sales operations. Most recently in his prior role as Vice President of the US Partner Organization, John was responsible for achieving profitable sales growth for Cisco and its partners, by leveraging the power of the Cisco Partner Ecosystem. He has been active across the business in shaping Cisco’s talent, inclusion and broader innovation strategy.

Previously, John was responsible for over $2 billion in Cisco product and service revenue through a channel sales model as the Area Vice President for the US Commercial Central Area. He was instrumental in shaping the US Commercial Segment’s go-to-market strategies across industries and architectures.

Prior to Cisco, John was the Director of Sales at Interactive Intelligence, responsible for revenue growth in the central United States and eastern Canada. He also served in various regional leadership roles at Siemens and Safety-Kleen Corporation. John earned his bachelor’s degree from Baldwin-Wallace University and MBA from Lindenwood University.

Moses will succeed Rick Snyder who announced his retirement plan earlier this year. Rich had been in the position for over four years based in Miami, FL and had been with Cisco for over 14 years in various leadership positions including President, TANDBERG Americas; Vice President, Global Business, Telepresence Video Sales; and Vice President, Global & Strategic Partner Organization.

The leadership post is an important one as channel partners have been core to Cisco Systems. The networking company has been keenly focused on extending from hardware towards subscription services and recurring revenue. In Q3 2019, the Company’s revenues were $13 billion, up 6 percent from the same quarter last year.
