The San Francisco-based firm, which focuses exclusively on the fintech space, has announced its planned expansion into the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets as it leverages its deep domain focused advisory capabilities.

“Thanks to continued referrals from our strong base of FinTech clients and our deep relationships with the private equity / VC community globally over our 15+ years in business, we are experiencing a wonderful period of natural growth in our global franchise with active clients on all major continents.  This expansion into the EMEA market reflects the Firm's commitment to providing the absolute best advisory capabilities to FinTech clients globally," stated Steve McLaughlin, Founder and CEO of FT Partners.

Schipporeit will bring to FT Partners over 14 years of experience as an investment banker and FinTech investor with a focus on the European markets. Previously, he held positions at Morgan Stanley and Index Ventures.

"FinTech activity in Europe and across all of EMEA has picked up dramatically in recent years and FT Partners is poised to be as much of a leader in the region as it has been in the US.  I look forward to being a part of this winning team," said Schipporeit.

Last year, FT Partners was awarded “Cross Border Deal of the Year” for its role in advising London-based Currencies Direct in its $310 million sale to global private equity groups Corsair Capital and Palamon.
