Genesys Announces Three Strategic Hires To Its Executive Team

Genesys, a global leader in providing omnichannel customer experience and contact center solutions in the cloud, announced the hiring of three strategic additions to its executive team, including Eva Majercsik as chief people officer.

To strengthen its multi-cloud solutions business unit, Genesys also announced that John Hernandez is joining as senior vice president and general manager for Genesys Engage and Raj Patel will come on as senior vice president of cloud engineering and operations.

“We are truly excited to welcome three new world-class executives with such deep expertise in global technology, SaaS, and customer experience to the Genesys team. Eva, John and Raj join the company at a pivotal moment as we further accelerate our positive cloud growth trajectory,” said Tony Bates, chief executive officer of Genesys. “Together, these leaders provide valuable perspectives to help further develop and grow our employee base, deliver innovation, and support our customers so we can continue outperforming the market.”

Headquartered in San Francisco, Genesys was founded in 1990. Today, the company has more than 5,000 employees in nearly 60 offices worldwide. Each year, it supports more than 70 billion customer experiences for organizations like Coca-Cola Business Services North America, eBay, Heineken, Lenovo, PayPal, BOSCH, Quicken, and more.

Majercsik has more than 25 years of professional experience, including a strong enterprise software background following a career in human resources at HP, Microsoft, and IBM. At Genesys, she will lead all global programs designed to support and enhance the employee experience. In addition to this, she is overseeing organizational and leadership initiatives, culture, and engagement, total rewards, and talent acquisition, retention, and development.

Hernandez spent 13 years with Cisco, leading the contact center business unit for most of that time. He reports to Barry O'Sullivan, executive vice president and general manager for Genesys Multicloud Solutions. Notably, O’Sullivan brought Hernandez to Cisco in 2002 from his position as a director of marketing for Genesys.

Patel will support Genesys’ 2020 initiative, Multicloud, which will give customers options outside of AWS, like a private cloud, different public clouds like Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud, or even a hybrid approach. Patel has over 30 years of experience, including a deep knowledgebase on Kubernetes and Azure.
