Google has revamped its artificial intelligence chatbot, Bard, unveiling it as Gemini and launching an upgraded version called Gemini Advanced. This advanced chatbot taps into Google's powerful Ultra 1.0 AI model, boasting enhanced capabilities in handling intricate tasks such as coding, logical reasoning, nuanced instructions, and collaborative creative projects. Available in 150 countries and territories in English, Gemini Advanced is now part of the new Google One AI Premium Plan, priced at around $20 per month, offering subscribers access to exclusive benefits and future integration with popular Google apps like Gmail, Docs, Slides, and Sheets.

To bolster accessibility, Google has rolled out a dedicated mobile experience for Gemini and Gemini Advanced, presenting a new Gemini app on Android and integration within the Google app on iOS. This move aligns with Google's vision of crafting a conversational, multimodal, and helpful AI assistant. The deployment initially covers Android and iOS phones in the U.S., with expansion plans to include more countries and languages, including Japanese and Korean.
