Marriott International Chooses Oracle for Cloud-Based Hospitality Solutions

Marriott International has chosen Oracle Hospitality's OPERA Cloud property management system (PMS) and Sales and Event Management as its preferred cloud platform for luxury, premium, select service, and midscale properties. Leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), OPERA Cloud PMS aims to enhance operational efficiency and guest-facing services globally within Marriott's portfolio. The adoption of OPERA Cloud Sales and Event Management is expected to centralize data, providing improved insights into guest preferences and optimizing event space management, including meeting rooms, room blocks, and catering services.

Erika Alexander, Chief Global Operations Officer at Marriott International, emphasizes the importance of adapting to changing customer needs in the industry. Oracle's OPERA Cloud is recognized as the backbone of service, empowering associates to focus on delivering excellent guest experiences. Marriott is also focusing on workforce and HR processes by implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM). The strategic cooperation agreement with Delonix Group in January 2024 reflects Marriott's commitment to expanding its Tribute Portfolio brand across China, while the company continues to enhance its IT capabilities through multi-cloud architectures, utilizing both OCI and Microsoft Azure.
