One Identity Hires Mark Logan as Its Inaugural CEO Ahead of Expected Spinoff

Cloud computing software provider Quest Software has hired a new chief executive officer for its subsidiary One Identity. The hiring comes six months after Clearlake Capital purchased Quest from Francisco Partners for $5.4 billion, including debt. Mark Logan, formerly of LogRhythm, is taking over as CEO and president, bringing nearly 40 years of experience, including almost 20 years in C-level positions. His hiring is an indicator that Quest plans on spinning off One Identity in the near future.

One Identity helps organizations establish an identity-centric security strategy with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), AD Account Lifecycle Management, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. In October 2021, the company acquired identity and access management provider OneLogin, adding its unified access management (UAM) platform to One Identity’s offerings. As CEO, Logan brings a wide array of experiences to the role, having led several data-centric organizations such as Attunity (Thoma Bravo) and WealthEngine.

The new CEO recognizes a “tremendous opportunity” for One Identity to accelerate its growth in the identity security market and remain a leader in unified identity security solutions.
