Partner Up! Oxbotica and Google Join Forces to Advance Autonomous Driving Technology

British-based autonomous vehicle software developer Oxbotica has announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to advance its goal of deploying its products globally. The collaboration will unite Google Cloud’s expertise in cloud infrastructure with Oxbotica’s market-leading software to deliver safe and reliable autonomous driving technology to businesses that utilize transportation in their operations. The solutions will be specifically focused on businesses in last-mile logistics, light industry, and public transport.

Oxbotica hopes to utilize Google Cloud’s computing, storage, data analytics, and other products to assist in the developing, testing, and validate its autonomous driving solutions, as well as leveraging its trusted cyber-security technologies. It will also employ Google Cloud solutions to generate digital twins in its MetaDriver platform, an AI-enabled metaverse that connects physical and virtual fleets to deliver real-time performance analytics. Also, with the scalability of the cloud, the company can process and analyze data sets to accelerate testing and improve the technology’s safety.

The autonomous driving technology company will be able to use the vast resources of Google Cloud for many more applications in its software development. One particular use case will be autonomous public transportation to mitigate traffic congestion in cities.
