The verification process, integral to StateRAMP Authorization, relies on Authorized Third Party Assessing Organizations (3PAOs) to conduct independent audits and assessments. These evaluations adhere to the widely accepted National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53, reinforcing the security posture of SAP NS2's cloud solutions.

Penny Klein, Vice President of Governance, Risk, & Compliance at SAP NS2, emphasized the significance of StateRAMP since its inception in 2020. She stated, "Our StateRAMP Authorization will provide state and local governments with a compliance framework that meets their rising security requirements."

This achievement opens the doors for state and local governments to securely adopt SAP's market-leading cloud solutions in a software-as-a-service model. The SAP solutions available within SAP NS2's StateRAMP Authorized environment include SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors Human Experience Management Suite, and SAP Employee Central Payroll.

The Authorization of these solutions ensures that they stick to a security posture on par with federal government standards. This, in turn, enables state and local governments to streamline processes related to analytics, enterprise resource planning and data management, and human capital management with confidence.

Lillian Chang, Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at SAP NS2, highlighted the achievement's significance for customers, stating, "The StateRAMP Authorization of our core solution suite provides our customers with peace of mind concerning how their data is protected." The authorization not only ensures current security standards but also paves the way for future innovations, offering customers the ability to securely adopt new SAP solutions.

Crucially, the StateRAMP Authorization provides an accelerated cloud deployment model, encompassing security and innovation while safeguarding mission-critical workloads. State and local governments can now explore opportunities to adopt best-in-class capabilities while ensuring compliance with security regulations, with SAP NS2 managing the entire process.

As an independent U.S. subsidiary of SAP, a market share leader in various enterprise applications, SAP NS2 enables the secure adoption of U.S.-based SAP cloud solutions. This enhanced deployment model facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements, safeguarding mission-critical workloads for highly regulated customers.

Hence, SAP NS2's StateRAMP Authorization marks a pivotal moment in providing state and local governments with advanced, secure cloud solutions. This achievement not only ensures adherence to current security standards but also positions SAP NS2 as a trusted partner for future innovations in the ever-evolving landscape of cloud technology.
