Selligent Names Salesforce’s John Hernandez as New CEO

Relationship marketing SaaS solutions provider Selligent has appointed Salesforce veteran John Hernandez as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking the beginning of a new phase for the company as it expands its reach into international markets.

Hernandez, who most recently held the titles of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Senior Vice President of Service Cloud at Salesforce, will take the helm at Redwood City, Calif. and Belgium-based Selligent immediately. He will replace co-founder Andre Lejeune, who will remain on the ten-year-old company’s board of directors. The Salesforce vet will be responsible for expanding the firm’s partner network and its growing expansion into Europe and North America.

“Selligent is at an exciting point in its history, and I’m thrilled to lead the company as its growth accelerates. Market demand is enormous for products like Selligent's Engagement Sphere, which is built around a universal consumer profile, and seamlessly delivers relevant one-to-one messaging,” said Hernandez in a statement.

Hernandez brings to the startup over 25 years of experience at the CRM market leader, where he oversaw business and products operations, as well as its customer care Service Cloud business.

“John Hernandez has dedicated his career to delivering excellence across technical organizations and products, making him the perfect fit for Selligent,” said Rich Lawson, co-founder and CEO of HGGC, a private equity firm which has held a majority ownership stake in Selligent since 2015.

Customer relationship management software platform Selligent currently employs over 90 employees and operates primarily in European countries. Customers include Samsung, InterContinental Hotels, ING, Dyson and other leaders across industries.
