Sparta Systems Appoints Golestani As Board Chairman

Sparta Systems announced earlier this month that they will appoint Clark Golestani as Chairman of the Board effective immediately. Golestani will focus on strategy and customer-focused innovation for the New Jersey-based SaaS company.

Golestani’s ascendance to the board comes at a time of rapid expansion for Sparta Systems. Sparta’s software products provide security, increased efficiency and decrease risk in doing business. Clients represent a number of sectors including life sciences and medical devices, consumer products, discrete manufacturing, as well as others. The company recently announced its Trackwise Advantage Program, which helps clients adapt cloud solutions into their current Trackwise environments or convert to the cloud entirely.

This follows quickly on the heels of TrackWise Digital, an advanced cloud-based enterprise quality management system that is widely regarded as an industry first. Trackwise Digital lets businesses leverage existing investments to quickly implement cost-effective management systems that are higher quality. The product lets users automate quality and compliance processes, validate QMS and make smarter, faster decisions in a rapidly changing business landscape.

With over three decades of experience, Golestani offers the board a wide depth and breadth of expertise in technology and health and life sciences. The company aims to ride the wave of big changes in the life sciences industry, as companies focus increasingly on the transition to cloud-based technologies.

Prior to working on the board, Golestani served as Global CIO and President of Emerging Businesses at Merck. At Merck, Golestani headed up the company’s global health innovation venture fund and also led Merck’s portfolio of services and solutions companies.

Golestani also brings years of experience in the SaaS space as well. Prior to working in the pharmaceuticals industry, he was in charge of establishing and managing strategic client relationships with Oracle.

Sparta Systems was founded in 1994 and is privately owned. The company provides cloud and on-premise quality software to almost 1 million users across over 700 implementations. The company is headquartered in Hamilton, New Jersey and has offices on three continents including Asia and Europe.
