The Top 25 Software Product Executives of 2023

The Software Report is pleased to announce The Top 25 Software Product Executives of 2023. Considered a hot job these days, the role of software product executive is expanding due to the growing importance of data-driven decision-making, a heightened emphasis on customer experience and design, and the evolution of software development methodologies. This is why some have started referring to the position as a "mini-CEO." Not unlike traditional CEOs, today's software product sexecutive needs to be multidisciplinary and work within the center of all activity. Only there can they achieve the ultimate goals of their title, which includes recognizing customer requirements and successfully launching products. Simultaneously, these executives fulfill the dual roles of being both the leader and the primary champion of the team responsible for transforming a company's ideas into groundbreaking products that have a global impact.

Some of the distinguished honorees on this year’s list include Adobe's Scott Belsky. As the company's Chief Strategy Officer and EVP of Design & Emerging Products, Belsky is responsible for design across a large swathe of Adobe's businesses, while also leading investments, engagements, and acquisitions in the startup ecosystem. Additionally, veteran technology executive Prakash Ramamurthy is the Chief Product Officer at Freshworks, having previously helped grow the Oracle Cloud division into a multi-billion dollar business. Another prime example is Shane Luke is a product development expert and frequent guest speaker in the startup world, who currently holds two high-ranking positions at Workday: VP of Product and Engineering, and Head of Machine Learning and AI. Notably, Luke is not only an entrepreneur, but he's also previously held senior product leadership roles at places like Nike, where served as the Global Head of AI and Machine Learning within Nike’s Digital Innovation Group.

The individuals featured in this year's list have stood out by making significant contributions not only to their respective companies but also to the software industry as a whole. Their leadership abilities, professional expertise, and technological contributions were among the criteria used to evaluate each nominee. The winners were selected based on the feedback received through nominations, supplemented by extensive research into their career accomplishments. Please join us in celebrating The Top 25 Software Product Executives of 2023.
