Wipro Employs Oracle Cloud Infrastructure To Give Flight To New Air Cargo Technologies

Wipro Limited, a leading global consulting, technology, and business services conglomerate, will be using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to power the next generation of its Cargo Reservations, Operations, Accounting, and Management Information System (CROAMIS) Application suite. With the growing demand for rapid cargo transportation services around the globe, OCI will enable Wipro to offer CROAMIS as part of its Wipro FullStride Cloud Services suite of solutions with the aim of fueling faster modernization of the air cargo industry. The company, which is an Oracle Cloud Services partner, selected OCI for its superior performance, high availability, built-in security, and lower cost.

Wipro has already migrated the CROAMIS application to the Oracle Cloud and plans to offer it as a flexible SaaS solution, utilizing both the Exadata and Database Cloud Services. The two companies hope the app will help quickly and easily automate the complete air cargo lifecycle, covering everything from sales and revenue management to ground handling operations and warehouse management. Global supply chains have been racked with challenges and delays brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic, but Wipro hopes its newly-fortified CROAMIS app can help alleviate problems, modernize business processes, and improve the speed of innovations.
